The different techniques are all focused on interfering in the different parts of the nervous system that are involved in the patients pain. These parts can be divided in four stages: changes in peripheral, central, autonomous nervous system and psycho-emotional components.

In all these stages the NR- or MNT- therapist can interfere using Nerve Reflex Points (NRP). These NRP’s can be followed by other manual techniques interfering in the local musculo-skeletal or visceral dysfunctions.
The Manual Neurotherapist shall combine NRP’s with the special MNT-techniques. In the peripheral nervous system (PNS) he/she can add Neuro-reflectory Soft Tissue Friction Techniques (NSFT) and Spine Tuning (SP)together with NRP. In the autonomous system 5ANS) he/she can add also NRSFT by influencing sympathetic nerve endings in peripheral nerves or ST-techniques on the thoracic spine for the sympathetic nervous system or in the high cervical and cranial area for the parasympathetic nervous system. Adding visceral mobilisations can influence changes in the ANS. In all these interventions the NRP’s play the most important role.
